<--Web.config-->
Add <add tagPrefix="Progress" namespace="Progressbar" assembly="Progressbar"/>
under <system.web>/ <pages>/ <controls>

and to web page
This is bound to a dataset
<Progress:ProgressBar ID="ProgressBar1" runat="server" BarColor="Silver" Blocks="20"
    BarBorderColor="Black" BorderSize="1" Cellpadding="0" CellSpacing="2" FillColor="Green"
      TrafficLight="true" barHeight="12" barWidth="100" ShowPrecent="true" PercentLocation="RightSide"
        Value='<%# Eval("CompletionPct") %>' DisplayType="Blocks" BorderStyle="None" />

Thanks, what if you run a process and want the value to be updated each time the process completes something via code behind?

ProgressBar1.Value=pctValue

now you will have to have the control in an update panel
also i can't recall if the control will update if the code is still running
